Customer Rating: Summary: A wonderful publication Comment: I have always enjoyed Marie Claire. I don't know why I took so long to actually get a subscription. It's a well rounded magazine, and well suited for women who are younger and older.
Customer Rating: Summary: Too Young For Me Comment: I ordered this magazine as a way to inspire me to lose weight. However it was the wrong thing. It is way too young - geared for no one older than 30 and that may be pushing things. Lots of ads, lots of skinny young blondes, teeny bopper stuff. I share this magazine with younger coworkers at my job.
Customer Rating: Summary: A Mix of Everything Comment: Every issue of Marie Claire covers everyhting: fashion, makeup, beauty, men, events, how people live around the world, and ways you can help other women suffering from abuse, natural disasters, etc. I hate magazines that only shows clothes and models, and this is not one of them. Marie Claire covers everything and every month, I learn something new after reading it.
Customer Rating: Summary: So not what you think Comment: Ok Marie Claire,
This magazine has got too be one of the worst magazines that ive ever read in my entire life.
The Contents of this magazine was just a complete waste of my time, most of the fashion in one issue gets repeated 3 bloody months later in another perthetic issue of this magazine.
I could not stand what the women in this magazine actually put into this magazine, what a waste of paper, oh and the new editor is just as bad trying too turn Marie Claire into Cosmopolitan by giving out lame sex tips that will never be as good as Cosmos. Stop Trying to Copy Cosmopolitan, You will never be as good as Cosmopolitan.
Customer Rating: Summary: My favorite magazine Comment: As women's magazines go, Marie Claire is definately the best of the bunch. It focuses on more than just fashion. It has serious articles and some cute fun ones, besides.
They have had articles on:
A woman who obeys an 8-ball for a month
A man who wears make-up for a week
Thai prostitution
Self-image
Stress
What women around the world keep in their underwear drawers
And lots and lots on fashion
They have a nice mix of articles. You can always find an article or two that you really like in each issue.

Editorial Reviews:

Sex, romance, shoes, lingerie, diet, guns, war--Marie Claire is a grab bag of hot issues for the modern woman. Combining a powerful feature on gun control laws with an article on the best lingerie to wear with low-slung jeans, Marie Claire proves that beauty magazines need not be all fluff and no substance. It provides one-stop shopping for the Cosmo woman craving a little more from her fashion magazine--the kind of woman who can talk politics while painting her nails and solving her relationship woes, all while on the treadmill. Yet for all its attempts to become a jill of all trades, Marie Claire remains a powerhouse in one field: beauty. From the hottest lip or polish color to the latest haircut, from the best tools of the trade to the must-have scent of the year, Marie Claire remains unsurpassed as the best source for beauty advice, and those pages alone are worth the cover price. --Daphne Durham
