Customer Rating: Summary: Great stand needed work Comment: Love this stand from the time I saw it but was unable to find the wheels. I found the perfect wheels on a craftsman generator which I replaced with a wheel kit and used the numatic ones on my dewalt stand. It is sturdy slightly heavy but with wheels just what I need when working alone. Did I mention it was very sturdy, sets up fast, anyone ought to be able to figure out the wheel thing. I really like it.

Customer Rating: Summary: Ok, but Ridgid MSUV is better Comment: After my recent purchase of a Dewalt DW706 miter saw, it quickly became apparent that I needed a dedicated stand. After researching and reviewing too many choices, the Dewalt DW723 was at the top of my short list. However, then I discovered the Ridgid MSUV (Miter Saw Utility Vehicle). An in-store comparison of the Dewalt and Ridgid sealed the deal. The MSUV directly addressed all of the features not available on the Dewalt, specifically not wanting to carry the saw and miter stand. The MSUV has two VERY large wheels, folds up and unfolds in seconds, and, best of all, the miter saw bolts to the stand: one compact package to move. In less time than it takes to type these words, the MSUV unfolds and is ready for action. Likewise, it folds up to an easily transported (rolled around, up and down stairs) platform in seconds. Equally important, the MSUV stores in a space about the size of a desk chair, with the saw still attached. I strongly encourage everyone to check out the Ridgid MSUV before purchasing the Dewalt DW723.
Customer Rating: Summary: almost perfect , but could be better Comment: Any one who uses this stand daily knows how handy it is , it's light , easy to set up and break down , and is pretty compact. I use it for a dewalt 12" miter saw. The stand beats the hell out of dragging out saw horses and a cutting board for most jobs.
What could be better ?
1. Two of the material supports are not enough if you are working with long material, I immediately purchased another set which really helped out.
2. The material support/stops really need to be wider, another two inches at least. when cutting 7 1/2" base , it has two be laying down and is constantly sliding off the narrow supports.
Hope the review is helpful , overall I am very satisfied with the stand and would buy again without a second thought about it.
Customer Rating: Summary: It works! Comment: This gizmo is perfect for a woodworker like me with limited garage space. My wife demands that her car has priority. That forces me to clean up and be somewhat tidy. I have many tools that I will attach DeWalt brackes on so I can use the saw stand more effectively. There are others out there now. As far as I'm concerned, the DW723 has it all. Excellent engineering and fabrication. 10 stars? Yes!

Tired of transporting a bulky miter saw stand from one job site to the next? The DeWalt DW723 may be the answer. Lightweight and rugged, the all-aluminum stand measures a mere 5-1/2 feet out of the box and weighs in at just 38 pounds. However, when fully assembled, it can support boards up to 16 feet long and a full 400 pounds of weight. The key to its strength lies in the stand's retractable legs, which lock securely in place then tuck away when not in use, as well as its sliding cam-lock extensions, which provide a full 16 feet of length when assembled. A carrying handle makes the stand easy to transport when fully retracted. Just throw it in the back of your pickup and it's good to go. Assembly is quick and easy, too. We had ours up and running in a matter of seconds. Mounting brackets adjust to fit most miter saws, making this the ideal workspace for the professional or do-it-yourselfer on the go. --Carl Thress
