Summary: It had so much potential!
Comment: I ordered this notebook case, and was really enjoying it for the first 4 weeks. It was the perfect size for my small PowerBook G4, plus there was some additional storage room for small books, etc. Unfortunately, the handle fell apart in week 5. Bummer! (I don't think I'm that hard on my luggage!) If it wasn't for the quick-to-fall-apart handle, I'd gladly give this product a 5 star rating.

Comment: Very well designed bag with lots of integrated usefull pockets, It is simply perfect for a Sony vaio FJ. Not too bigger, not too small, it's just perfect! very good quality as every samsonite product. I am very satisfied.

Summary: Nice and Sturdy
Comment: This case seems nice and sturdy, just what I was looking for. I have a HP Compaq Presario V5000Z and it just barely fits with a little struggle to get it back out again. It has a padded interior pocket for the outlet adapter and two more padded pockets with flaps for other accessories. There is a briefcase style organizer inside the outer zipped section. I haven't used that for anything yet. The handle has good padding to carry a heavy laptop around comfortably.

Comment: I bought this case for my new Dell E1505 laptop. It would have been perfect if its an inch bigger. Its quite a struggle to keep the notebook into the case.

I have a Compaq x1000 laptop (15.4") and it fits perfectly in this case.
I particularly liked the small form factor of this case, which is why I bought it. There's just enough room for a laptop, AC adapter, and a few other small accessories (travel mouse, WIFI finder, flash drive, etc), and you don't end up with a huge case to lug around. It fits with room to spare under the front seat of airplanes just fine.
I used this for probably 2 years, and the rubbery material that covers the shoulder strap hook on the case has started ripping through. The metal bracket that is actually supporting the shoulder strap, riveted to the case itself, is still intact, and therefore the flaw is primarily aesthetic. I think there's a 3 year warranty on this case, but I can't find my receipt so I can't report on how Samsonite would handle the warranty. Besides this flaw, which could have been produced because of heavy use, I'd have given this bag a 5.
Padding is sufficient all over the case, including the back. The shoulder strap is comfortable, and the hand-grip is very well padded and very comfortable.
The materials on this case are excellent. It just feels solid.
I am upgrading my laptop to a 17" version, so I won't be able to use this case again. But because of the excellence of this case, I will definitely be looking at another Samsonite.
