Summary: Handy Pedometer that gets the job done
Comment: I bought this about six months ago, and use it often. It works quite well, counting all of my steps but not counting jars or bounces (I even tried shaking it up and down and I couldn't fool it). It is fairly easy to program, once you have read the directions. I like that it keeps track of minutes spent and calories burned in aerobic exercise, and the one week memory is a nice reference tool as well. The only thing I don't really like is that is is a bit bulky. For that reason, I don't wear it all the time, only when I am walking or jogging for exercise. Other than the size of it, this is a great tool. Very durable too, as I have dropped it several times and it has survived unscathed.

Summary: What for?
Comment: Look, I just saw some guy online crowing about noting his Omron's step totals in his pocket Moleskine, and it makes me cringe. Just want to let y'all know that you can get a good pedometer for about three bucks at any big drug store, and a dollar notebook to record your results, besides. I've got both of these things, adn they've served me well for over a year now.
That way you'll save, oh, thirty dollars and be able to do something else a lot more fun.

Summary: Finally, a pedometer that works!
Comment: I have had the Omron HJ-112 for three days now and I am totally pleased. I have been frustrated with other "less expensive" pedometers and very glad that I made the decision to step up to something that is well worth the investment. No problems whatsoever with set up or operation and very excited some of the new features, such as the "aerobic step" measurement. Definitely would highly recommend this product if you are looking for an accurate pedometer that is easy to use.

Summary: very sensitive and sometime gives faulty readings
Comment: This device is very sensitive and sometime gives faulty readings. It is okay when you're walking continuously for long distances, but it sometime gives exaggerated readings for short, interrupted movements. For example, I picked up the pedometer and clipped it to my belt, moving it from a horizontal to a vertical position, and it went from 0 to 10 steps. I suppose you just have to monitor the display and take extra steps to compensate for the erroneous reading. It does have two good features in that it maintains seven days of readings and it automatically resets to 0 at midnight.
