Comment: We got this microphone for our 8 year old daughter. There were enough Christmas songs and kids songs on it already for her to enjoy and some classics for the adults to get a good laugh too. The display is easy to follow and selecting songs is pretty easy too. I would recommend getting an extra song chip if you want any recent songs. The only down fall I see is that it is a little tinny sounding.

Summary: Easy to use, good song selection
Comment: This system is very easy to use and portable. Those are its strengths. You will be especially pleased if you are new to karaoke. With Karaoke, the key is a good supply of songs. Leadsinger has a great song collection. In addition to songs included with the mike, you can add up to 4 cartridges, each with about 200 songs. It is so easy to go from song to song without having to swap CDs and reading label in dim light. But, you will get a much better song selection with CDGs (which are usually much more expensive).
Here's some things I don't like about the system. First and foremost is the use of MIDI music. The music is 100% synthesized and many instruments sound just terrible, especially guitar and strings. There is no vocal track and the melody is often played with a sound that would come from an oboe - just terrible. The volume of the mike is low, so you have to sing loud and directly into the mike. Many of the lyrics contain minor errors. Finally, on some of the songs, the timing, such as the length of a pause, is way off.
