Summary: Don't waste your money
Comment: I give this a 1 star only because there was no rating lower than that. The clip which holds the headset to your ear is so loose that you have to hold it to your ear in order to hear anything if you are not in a very quiet environment. The headset is almost unusable in the car as you are holding it against your ear and at the same time cupping your hand around to focus your voice into it so whomever you are taking to can actually hear you.

Summary: Pretty good headset
Comment: I have not had experience with other headsets, but this headset seems to have the bang for the buck. It links easily, has pretty good range, really small size, excellent battery life, and nobody so far has asked if I was using a headset while talking to them on the phone.

The downside is that if you move around TOO actively, it tends to flop a little bit. Also there is slight wind noise, but that is expected of almost any headset. Any phone without headset experiences wind noise because that's what happens when you have holes above a microphone, wind will go in.

Bottom line, it is an excellent headset despite the price, and it looks awesome when you wear it.

Summary: Only the price is right. You get what you pay for.
Comment: I am not impressed.

I don't know what the other reviewers are smoking. This device does not cancel out background noise. Listeners on the other end say I sound like I'm in a tunnel. Two strikes.

As you can see from the pictures there is quite a distance between one's mouth and the "pinhole" for the internal microphone. There is no way to cancel out background noise lest your own voice be considered to be background noise. This is a design defect in all devices that have a similar design.

The earpiece is not suited for driving or walking. The "ear attachment" and its hinge is made of flimsy loose plastic. As a result the fit isn't tight enough. I often need to turn my head quickly while driving and it feels like the thing's going to fly off my head into the back seat. It's an extremely annoying distraction that you don't want to have while driving.

On the good side, I don't have any problems hearing and the volume controls are very convenient to use.

Summary: Perfect for its Price
Comment: I just got the Motorola HS820 and it works pretty well. It's much cheaper to buy here at Amazon than over at Verizon, Sprint... The price is very good compared to what you get. I bought the a similar headset from Jabra; that one plainly sucked. The only problem I had was, I decided to take the FREE shipping; they shipped out the HS820 in 4 days and another 3 days for delivery. It took a long time to recive it, I recommend that you not take the free shipping. Motorola has great quality in their products and great price.

PROS
-Great sound quality
-Blocks out background noises
-Volume controls are very good
-Has a tone for incoming calls
-Voice dialing
-I can talk for 20 hours
-Charges with my Motorola E815's car charger
-I went well over 30 feet and it didn't disconnect.

CONS
-Very light, feels like it may fall off

That's about it, I would reccomend that you buy it, especially if you can still get the 30 dollars off after making an Amazon Card!

Summary: not LOUD enough, HELLO!!! WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!
Comment: What a big waste of money. The headset is light and easy to use, but what good is it if you can't hear anything. If you're planning on using this in your car, forget about it. It's not loud enough over the road noise, traffic noise, or your engine noise. I just use my wired earpiece which is at least twice as loud as this POS.

What's up with the 8-page glowing review of this product? Must be the electrical hobbyist who designed it.

Editorial Reviews:

If you have a Bluetooth phone, it's time to make the most of it with the Motorola HS820 headset. Comfortable, stylish, and intelligently designed, the HS820 frees you up to multitask and talk whenever, and wherever you please.

Simply turn on the headset to establish a reliable wireless connection to a compatible phone up to 32.8 feet away. The headset's Bluetooth 1.2 compatibility means that you'll enjoy faster connections, better audio quality, adaptive frequency hopping and improved interference rejection (don't worry, it's also compatible with the older Bluetooth 1.1 specification). With up to six hours of talk time, you can converse to your heart's content before you'll need to charge the HS820's internal battery. The headset also has up to 100 hours of standby time, so you're always ready to receive a handsfree call.

No matter how fancy or powerful a headset may be, it's not all that useful if it isn't comfortable. Fortunately, the HS820 has comfort covered. The earhook is designed to work on your left or right ear, while an intuitive function menu and comfortable buttons make everyday use a breeze. There's also an LED light indicator that shows the status of the headset, including notification of pairing mode, pairing successful, power state, charge state and call state. Call management features --such as voice dialing, last number dial, conference calling and hold-- are available right from the headset, so you can leave your phone in your pocket, in your briefcase, or across the room. All of this is rolled up into a package that weighs less than .8 ounces.

Compatibility: Motorola A630, RAZR V3, V505, V551, V600 and V710 Phones, and all other Bluetooth 1.1 or 1.2 compliant devices.
