Customer Rating: Summary: Top of the line Comment: The best thing about this grill is that it has two "swing up" surfaces for holding your platters or foods to be prepared. A great work surface, easy cleaning, and no cold spots within the cook area make this top of the line. Looks great too!
Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome grill. Comment: You can't go wrong buying this great grill. It was a snap to put together with easy to follow instructions. It heats up super fast and cooks with wonderful efficency. No cold spots as far as I can tell so far on any parts of the cooking surface and flame-ups are kept to a minimum. You won't be dissapointed if you bring this baby home.
Customer Rating: Summary: I couldn't be happier with this grill Comment: I love my grill, honestly, I couldn't be happier. While I have been around some other grills that friends have, I really like the extra features mine has. Now with the quality of Weber, this grill heats up evenly, and quickly. Its a snap to start too, just turn on the gas, turn a knob, and push a button, its ready to start.
The grill comes with a wonderful gauge on the propane tank to let you know how much gas you have left. No need to worry about how much is left, because you will always know. Unlike another one of the reviewers mine has no issues with the doors closing, they close perfectly.
There isn't enough nice things I can say about the grill, it is high quality, and will give you many years of service. The stainless steel construction, the stainless steel grills won't get damanged, the BBQ is designed with many features you didn't even know you needed.
Customer Rating: Summary: Weber Genesis Gold B Comment: A really nice grill made with high quality materials. Very even heat. I love this grill.

Customer Rating: Summary: Sometimes greatness comes at a steep price Comment: I got lucky on my purchase of the 2005 Genesis Gold B. Apparently the store I purchased it at put Genesis Silver B barcodes on the Gold B boxes, so I ended up getting charged 499 instead of 599. The grill is worth every penny so far. It's a miser when it comes to gas, and it heats up to 550 degrees in about 5-10 minutes! That's amazingly fast. New to the 2005 models are the doors, and it's apparent, because they're my only complaint about the design of the unit. They just don't open and close perfectly. Also be warned that Weber Grills in 2005 no longer ship with a propane tank. You must have one or buy one seperately. I wish the burners were further apart for indirect cooking of large pieces of meat. I had a large rack of ribs, and the edges got charred while I had the middle burner turned off. Next time I'll use foil. Chalk that mistake up to not knowing better.
Make sure you have someone around when you're putting this grill together. Step 3 requires you to put the top onto the legs, and this requires 2 people. Other than that, I was able to quickly put everything together and was grilling within an hour of starting the project. I really wish Weber would start using words in their instructions rather than just try to convey all the instructions with pictures. But like I said, I was able to easily get everything put together. I also bought the appropriate grill cover from Amazon and it fits like a glove. Great investment.
I owned a Weber Baby Q while living in an apartment, and loved it to death. It's now relegated to beach trip duty while my new Genesis Gold B is the workhorse of the house. Good job Weber!

Legendary Weber quality, tons of thoughtful features, and built-to-last construction make this propane-fueled gas grill a solid choice for years of pure grilling pleasure. Three high-grade stainless steel burners run the length of the durable, thick-walled cast-aluminum cookbox, inputting a powerful 36,000 BTU per hour and producing exceptionally even heat without hot or cold spots. Each burner is individually controlled to enable either direct or indirect cooking, while the infinite control valves allow exceptionally precise temperature control. 611 inches of total cooking area provide enough room to cook for even large parties and include a convenient warming rack, to keep already-cooked foods warm or toast hamburger buns, and a warm-up basket, to cook easily burned foods like fish or vegetables and to provide more warming space. Weber's Crossover ignition system makes starting the grill easier than ever, lighting all three burners in succession with just the push of a button. Like all Weber gas grills, the Genesis Gold B features heavy-duty stainless steel Flavorizer bars to eliminate the flare-ups caused by lava rocks and ceramic briquettes; fats and juices hit the angled bars and sizzle away, adding delicious, smoky barbecue flavor instead of flames. A slide-out bottom tray funnels grease away from the burners and into a removable catch pan for quick and painless clean-up. The grill includes a roomy storage area with solid steel bottom shelf, while two swing-up work surfaces offer plenty of space to spread out sauces, marinades, utensils and other prep essentials. Both surfaces are made from granite-look Thermoset for maximum durability, heat resistance, and ease of cleaning, and they feature four sturdy hooks to keep favorite barbecue tools close to hand. The double-walled stainless steel hood adds a layer of insulation to trap heat and protect from discoloring. Thoughtful add-ons and extra features elevate this grill above similarly priced models A built-in thermometer monitors the temperature inside the grill for precise cooking. Rugged, weather-resistant wheels are crack-proof in the most extreme temperatures and allow easy transport, while locking casters prevent the grill from rolling during cooking. The porcelain-on-steel control panel includes a meat temperature chart on the enameled surface for easy reference, and all three burners have screens to keep spiders from spinning combustible webs inside. Best of all, ten fasteners are all that's needed to put this grill together, meaning you'll go from box to barbecue in less than 40 minutes. Included is an easy-to-read fuel gauge, so you'll never run out of gas mid-meal. The Genesis Gold B measures 63 inches high by 65 inches wide by 30 inches deep. Made in the USA, it's backed by a limited lifetime warranty. --Mary Park
