Summary: Great Grill and I love using it
Comment: I have owned the grill about 2 years now. The older model does not have the doors and I dont miss doors. The open rack shelf is fine and I think being able to see what is dripping in the bottom pan a benefit. The grill is kept on my back patio and gets used very often. I have the cover on it and it does not show any weather damage. It is very easy to use and clean up. I have nothing but good things to say about this grill. I have had no problems with it at all. I also have the Weber Big Book of grilling and everything that I cook from ham, steaks, fish and vegetables comes out good. You will be happy you bought this grill. My husband used to be the grill king of the house but now I do most of the grilling because it is so much easier to use the grill than use the stove for alot of cooking tasks. We have owned several different grills over the years in the $250-350 price range but this is by far the best and is worth the extra money because of how well it is made.

Summary: Outstanding Customer Service
Comment: I have had this grill for over 3 years now and enjoy it thoroughly. Unfortunately, an animal chewed through my gas line and put it out of commission. I put off searching for a replacement for 2 weekes because I didn't want the hassle. Now, I am embarrassed to say that I should have just called the 800 service number right away. It's Easter Sunday and I got a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful service rep on the line quickly (without the silly automated phone labyrinth) and they shipped out replacements parts at no charge for FedEx Ground delivery. While it's nice to have a sturdy, well-built unit (which this is), it is nicer to have great customer service.

However, I found it for $133.13 less than amazon.com on another site. it was worth my time to do a little research on prices.

This grill really is fantastic. I've had it for 2 months now, with absolutely no buyers remorse at all.
Pros:
1. Excellent heat control with a 3-zone heating system. Turn off the middle zone, and you go from direct heating to convection style grilling. I'm finding the capability to switch from direct to convection-style heating to be useful for cooking things like fish, chicken, and ribs without scorching the outside.
2. Fantastic temperature control from 250 degrees F, all the way up to 600 degrees. The temperature gauge on the front is really useful.
3. The fuel indicator is a nice feature.
4. It's very simple to remove any parts that tend to get messy and put into the dishwasher. Cleanup is a snap. The parts fit in the dishwasher without taking up all the space.
Cons (really just a few minor annoying things):
1. The lower cabinet is not water proof. Anything left in it will get wet in the rain.
2. My lower cabinet doors tend to swing open too easily. I added a magnetic door latch to deal with the problem.
3. The sideburner does not put out that many BTU's. It's more of a warmer than a burner. I ussually have to light the sideburner with a match, as the lighting switch doesn't seem to consistently work for the sideburner.
4. This grill is really heavy. Don't expect to throw it in the back of your pickup and take to the park. It's a 2-man job to move it around.
Overall fantastic grill, with a few minor annoyances. I give it 5 stars, mostly for the excellent temperature control, and the fact that I've gone from a grill meister that scorched the outside of the meat 50% of the time (with my previous grill), to perfect consistent results everytime.
