Spotlight customer reviews:

Customer Rating: Summary: Works to some degree, but it's not magic Comment: This antenna did boost my "bars" by one, but not contantly, and it took nearly an hour to figure it all out. Based on reviews of the "Universal Internal Antenna Booster" (the funny looking gold sticker you put on a cell phone), perhaps that $1 item might work just as well as this antenna. You might want to consider whether a phone software upgrade might help your situation. Hooking up this antenna into your external antenna plug does not magically boost your signal by itself. You absolutely must place the antenna in a location of good reception so that it can transfer the signal (with great loss) to your phone. Keep in mind that which direction this antenna points is an important factor. The instructions say to place the antenna on ferrous metal (such as a file cabinet), but I found no gain by doing so. The antenna tips over easily, so sticking to metal does help keep it in place. I use my phone (LG4400) a lot in my basement, and found that by attaching the antenna to the ceiling light fixture, orienting it in a certain direction, then attaching the plug to my phone gave me a one bar signal increase, which is what I needed.
Customer Rating: Summary: THIS ITEM DOESNT WORK FOR THE LG VX6100 Comment: THIS ITEM DOESNT WORK FOR THE LG VX6100
Customer Rating: Summary: External Antenna for Motorola V330 Comment: On the V330, try the hole right next to the stub antenna - remove the plug to access the hole. Love to hear how it works for you!
Customer Rating: Summary: How does it fit? Comment: For the life of me, I can't figure out how this is supposed to hook up to a V300 or V330. Anyone have any ideas?
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Idea, Inferior Quality Comment: The antenna worked wonders for about 2 weeks. I had 3 bars of signal in an otherwise "no bar zone." After awhile, it completely died, leaving me with "Searching For Service" if I plugged it into my phone's external antenna jack. When it works, its great! But the quality of the product is severly lacking. I'd STRONGLY recommend buying some other external antenna.
