Summary: Great sound, bothersome cord.
Comment: Pros: Great sound, even in high pressure environments like the subway. Good size selection on the earbuds.

Cons: main cord was too short to be useful to me unless I kept my music device in a shirt pocket or inside jacket pocket. With the extension cord attached, I felt the cord "weighing down" on my ears and it ended up being too uncomfortable for me to wear every day.

I ended up changing to the MDR-EX51LP which also has decent sound and no heavy extension cord, but persistent build quality problems (the cable wrap has disintegrated on two pair in the past year.)

Summary: Good sound, quality
Comment: I was a bit hesitant to buy this when I read other reviews about how it would fall apart after extended use. But I've used this product for some months now and it's holding up just fine. I've had many other Fontopia earbuds before, and the sound quality is on par for its price. The buds are comfortable enough to listen to while sleeping, and I was pleased to notice that the white doesn't get dirty too easily either. It's a solid product at an acceptable price.

Summary: Good until you lose the earbuds
Comment: The sound is good and the earbuds do a good job of blocking out sound, and they are very comfy in the ear - your ears never feel sore from long term use. But the plastic-rubbery buds are flimsy and thus easily fall off the mounting. In just a few months I lost quite a few of them through just normal use (I am not a careless person) and Sony makes them really hard to replace unless you spend a bundle. This is partly a design flaw (they should not fall off so easily) and partly a poor replacement product line.

Summary: it has great sound but they break
Comment: i usually keep my headphones in the audio pocket in my bag. I kept these in there and pull them out and only one ear works and after that the cord breaks. But reguardless it has great sound

Summary: Great sound, but lousy cord
Comment: These ear buds offer wonderful sound at a great price, but prepare to replace them often. I'm on my second pair in a year. I take really good care of my equipment... the material the wires are made out of just falls apart to easily. ((I used heat shrink tape on them and that helps hold things together.))
