Summary: The finest wired headset
Comment: I've recently purchased a set of Shure e2c headphones. This headset, seems to be based on a similar design, which I would consider a benefit. I have a Motorola E815 and I have the volume set to 1, 0 being the lowest setting. At this setting, i can drive my Civic down the freeway and hear the person on the other side easily. My phone has bluetooth and i've owned 2 bluetooth headsets to date. They were both Motorola models. Both were too quiet and not comfortable for me. I'm one of those guys with big ears, and I wear glasses. Typically, headsets don't fit me well. This one is great. The earpiece it comes with fits in the ear, making a tight, noise-reducing seal. Think of an earplug with a built-in speaker. This is what mainly allows you to keep the volume way down and still hear the person you're talking to. The boom mic places the microphone off to the side of the mouth, well in range, but far enough so you don't breathe on it and make noise. There is a windscreen included for outdoor use. For me, the windscreen makes it look like i'm talking with air traffic control, so i left it off. It looks much sleeker that way. The earloop is made of very pliable rubber. It hangs around my ear comfortably, even with my glasses. It's reversible, so you can wear it on either ear. Shure also comments in their manual that you can remove it, but i think the loop helps to keep that headset in place, so left mine on. I can move my head rapidly side to side and it stays on fine. So, overall the comfort is good and the audio quality is excellent. The only caveat, this is an inside-the-ear earpiece. If you don't like that, this may not be for you. Since i like my e2c headphones, this wasn't much of a switch. For anyone wanting a quality headset at a reasonable price, look no further.

Comment: On your side, the review I found that said "this is the first headset I've had where you had to turn DOWN the volume" is right on the money. I can finally concentrate on the conversation instead of "I can't hear this person."
On their side, everybody says it sounds great and generally don't know I'm on a headset. My phone is an older phone (a Samsung A620), which has a terrible built in mic. Most headsets have not helped. But, with this one when I plug it in, people always say "oh, that's so much better!" If you use the cellphone at all, you need this product!

Comment: Shure makes professional vocal performce Mics. So I knew the speech quality would be top notch and it is. I find it light to wear and the ear volume is excellent.

Comment: I drive a convertible and I have gone through 6 different hands-free devices that didn't work. Wind noise is awfully high with the top down, and my wife could never hear me when I talked on a hands-free. That is no longer a problem. The Shure works great! It is comfortable, clear sounding and best of all - I'm audible when I speak. If it had a "turbo" button, it would be perfect, but other than that - it is terrific. This is the best I've seen...
