At the heart of the main unit is a large, blue button that engages and disengages the speakerphone. The button is surrounded by a blue indicator LED light that provides a visual cue about the wireless speaker status. Four other buttons, all of which sport a beautiful chrome finish, offer easy access to mute functions and volume control, as well as voice recognition control. Use the voice recognition button to easily place calls using your phone's voice dialing function. All buttons on the main unit are also backlit for easy viewing in dark conditions, and with a receiving range of 30 feet, you can be assured that the unit will communicate with a Bluetooth phone that's anywhere in your vehicle. The HF850 kit also comes with a directional microphone, a Bluetooth module for connectivity with your phone and a 5-Watt external speaker for great sound performance in your car. The kit is supplied with all necessary wiring connectors, mounting hardware, and fuses for installation (professional installation is required).
Any Bluetooth phone that supports the Hands-free Profile should work with the HF850, but you'll want to check with your phone manufacturer to make sure. Motorola states that the HF850 is compatible with the Motorola V551, V600, A630, MPX220, and RAZR V3. It is also compatible with the V710, but this phone must have firmware 8700_01.40 or higher.
