Summary: Not bad for price
Comment: Unit assembled and mounted to existing luggage rack ('91 S-10 Blazer) with little difficulty. Had to invert mounting screws per directions since screws would have touched roof, but reaching the knobs were a little difficult. Mounting screws could have been 1/4-20 or 10-32 instead of small 6-32 threads. Plastic knobs on screws could have been stainless
But overall, the rack works well. Directions say don't drive over 55mph but they stayed on with 2-pair of skis at 80mph.
Ski's slid back 1/2" in 2 hour road trip but rubber gripper seems to work well. For the price, they are worth it since they come with key locks which function well in cold. I rate them 3-stars since they are mid-quality but get the job done. I am a manufacturing engineer so I'm picky about quality in products. In off season, I may change to larger diameter threads on mounting hardware. It's a decent product for price.

Summary: Good for the price
Comment: I bought this ski rack because of the "goldbox" savings of $10, otherwise I would have shopped around a bit more. It was delivered in three days (far less than the 10 business days I was expecting).

The rack is fine. Instructions are a bit confusing, but nothing someone with Lego experience can't crack. My only little beef is that the wing nuts on the bottom of the clamps that connect to the roof rack are difficult to reach -- not much clearance between the car roof and the ski rack.

Other than that, easy on/easy off. Decent Quality. Can carry four pair of skis.

Summary: A Yakima clone
Comment: As always Amazon lived up to its reputation and clear description, including shipping and tax. The racks came a day earlier than planned, and the item was of surprisingly high quality. I actually held a set of Yakima racks in my hands and these seem to be an identical duplicate. And they have a lock included and have all the proper hardware to mount to your stock SUV roof rack!

Summary: Nice rack for the price, needs extra parts for a Yakima rack
Comment: I bought this earlier in the week. I was attracted to it because it would work on my car (Thule crossbars) and my wife's car (Yakima crossbars).

It turns out that you need extra parts for the rack to work with a Yakima rack and they are not included with the rack itself. This is something to be aware of if you have a Yakima roof rack.

Summary: good
Comment: great for the price, but after a month in colorado the front lock would bind up. i haven't tried anyting yet, but a little wd40 should take care of it. buy this rack.

Editorial Reviews:

Ideal for skiers and snowboarders who spend as much time as possible on the slopes during the winter months, BVG's Snowroad Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Rack has an innovative mounting system, allowing it to be attached to Yakima, Thule, and most factory crossbars right out of the box. It holds up to six pairs of skis or four snowboards with built-in locks and is great for group outings and long weekends to Vail, Whistler, Killington, or anywhere else your snow adventures take you. The rack is easy to transfer to other vehicles within seconds, making it adaptable to those last-minute plan changes. Best yet, this rack securely locks to your car or SUV while safely locking your skis and snowboards to the rack. All necessary installation hardware is included with the rack.
