Summary: Poor Packaging ruined my experience
Comment: I ordered two of these chairs. I opened the first box and discovered that the parts bag had opened up during shipment. I managed to recover all but one washer, when I noticed that they had mispacked the bolts: I had received one extra 'long' bolt and was missing one 'short' bolt. I figured this was minor and was prepared to start assembly when I did an inspection of the wood pieces. I found one minor ding, one minor crack severe crack. I also manged to get a splinter deeply embedded in my finger. Do not try to find defects in wood by running your hand over the piece. Use your eyes instead.
At that point I decided not to bother even opening the second package. I returned both items to Amazon and received a refund.
I did receive assembly instructions and it seemed simple to assemble, provided that they shipped a correct and complete parts kit.
So, honestly, I can't recommend this chair to anybody, but your luck might be better than mine.

Summary: Very sharp - will only get better with age!
Comment: I ordered two of these - one for the Mrs. and one for myself. They arrived without any shipping damage and arrived complete (no missing pieces, hardware, instructions, etc.). I was able to put both chairs and foot stools together during my lunch break from work and still have time left over to admire my handywork, so assembly was a breeze. Fit and finish are amazing at the price - you'll find many pieces out there for quite a bit more money that are much worse in quality. I can't wait for the chairs to start to weather so they match my gray house and deck! Although I've only had the chairs a couple weeks, I am definitely 120% satisfied with my purchase.

Summary: Overall good chair, good price but misses the mark.
Comment: A well made chair but a few items made this purchase less than perfect. The first chair arrived without assembly instructions but with only a handfull of pieces to put together it was easy to figure out. The second chair had the instructions but was missing two bolts in the hardware bag so it not ready to use. A few of the screws needed to be tightened as well. The chair gets great marks for fit and finish, feels sturdy and comfortable. The wood is smooth and edges rounded. The hardware fits flush and they include two small wrenches to make an easy to assemble kit. I could not have made the chair this well for this low price.
