Summary: Best headset I've used, but not good in my noisy car
Comment: This is the 3rd headset I've owned. By far this is the most comfortable. Its small size and light weight makes it easy to wear for long times.

The one down side is my car. I have a sports car which transmits a lot of road noise into the cabin. The DSP in the Jabra does an OK job, but at times it is hard for people to hear me over the noise. I can hear the conversation in the head set perfectly thought.

In my girlfriend's VW Passat the cabin is quiet enough that the headset works beautifully. In fact, some people have commented that the sound is better than using the phone's own pickup.

4 out of 5 stars only because it can't handle noisy environments as good as the "DSP" labeling on the package would lead you to believe.

Summary: We have a winner!
Comment: Many reviews list the Jabra JX-10 as one of the best Bluetooth headsets available. After using it quite often for two months, I completely agree. The only thing that will impress you more than the strong, clear reception is the comfort of the JX-10. It's so light and comfortable, that occasionally I will forget that I'm wearing it. The controls are easy to use. It took a few minutes to initially sync with my phone (Motorola E815), but now the link reconnects within 15 seconds. As long as your phone is within about 6 feet of the headset, the reception is strong, clear and reliable. Sure, it costs more than other Bluetooth headsets at over $100 - but sometimes you get what you pay for. This is a must for people who live (and talk) on the road.

Summary: This headset is awesome!
Comment: I wish I could say more about the Motorola headsets, but the truth is that we get a lot of complaints of static, and we have used several different models. Since we switched to the Jabra JX-10, we get NO complaints from customers. I can hear better with this blue tooth than any other I have used. It's a little pricey, but I think you get what you pay for! In our business, well worth the price.

Summary: With much regret, it was not a keeper...
Comment: I purchased the Jabra JX10 after doing a lot of research, both here and on many other sites. If you have not seen the headset, it is very discreet and fashionable as advertised. The headset charged in exactly 2 hours using the usb charger included. Pairing with my Samsung A900 was a snap. The unit is extremely light and very comfortable on the ear using the supplied ear clip (I wear glasses and the ear clip was never in the way or the least bit uncomfortable).

The first few calls made were crystal clear, so long as I had my phone on the same side as the headset. Issue #1: I was not able to get anywhere near 30ft away from the phone (more like 3 feet) before I experienced static.

The same day I purchased the JX-10, and shortly after fully charging the headset, I went to the mall to do some more shopping. During the drive to the mall, I was able to talk on the headset with the windows down without any complaint from the person on the other end of the call. As a matter of fact, I don't think they even noticed I had taken the call from home to the car, even while driving with the windows down. I guess the DSP really does work.

Issue #2: Once in the mall the headset became unusable. I became frustrated and turned the Jabra off and started using my phone to complete my call. The sound would drop in and out. While in it was crystal clear, when it dropped out there wasn't any static, just no sound. Again all the while, even with the issues I was experiencing on my end of the call, I don't think the caller knew I was on a headset during the sound issues.

I returned the Jabra the same evening after the visit to the mall. I couldn't justify the price for the poor performance. With that said...many people seem to be having good luck with the JX-10. My advise, if you purchase any headset, put it through the paces as soon as you can in order to find out if it is right for you or not.

I plan to try the Discovery 645.

Editorial Reviews:

Function meets the ultimate in style with the Jabra JX10 Bluetooth headset. Featuring a design by world-renowned Danish designer Jacob Jensen, a host of powerful features, and a diminutive size that screams "wear me all day," the JX10 is sure to find a place in your mobile device entourage.

The sleek, compact design makes the Jabra JX10 among the smallest and lightest headsets available. Weighing in at less than one-third of an ounce, and under an inch and a half long, you'll barely feel you're wearing it. The headset fits securely in either ear and it can be worn with or without the included earhook. Automatic volume control via DSP technology means that sound level and quality are matched to suit the environment you're in. The technology also significantly reduces background noise.

Pairing the JX10 with your Bluetooth phone is a breeze, thanks to the headset's one-tough pairing button. Intuitive, fingertip controls let you answer and end calls, or adjust the volume, while a multi-colored LED informs you of Bluetooth, battery level, and charging status. When used with a compatible phone, the headset also supports voice dialing, last-number redial, call reject, call hold, and call waiting. The JX10 supports the Bluetooth 1.2 specification.

With six hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time, the JX10 is engineered to last through a busy day. When you're ready to recharge it, slip it into the elegant recharging cradle. And when you're on the go, you can also charge from your laptop via an included USB cable.

What's in the Box
Jabra JX10 Bluetooth headset, desktop charging cradle, carry pouch, USB cable, user manual, and AC power supply.
