Comment: El haber escuchado este CD, me hiso comprender el sentimiento y la pasion de Andrea Bocelli. Me ha hecho entender lo que la musica de opera significa. Me llena de sentimiento y cada vez que lo escucho me apasiona mas y mas. El dueto Time To Say Goodbye con Sarah es la cancion mas bella que he escuchado. Gracias Andrea por hacerme sentir de la manera que me siento cada vez que escucho tu musica.

Summary: a feast of Italian song
Comment: Full of unabashed emotion and saturated with gorgeous melodies, this is a CD for romantics, a special musical Valentine from a singer who obviously takes immense joy in singing; one can feel the pleasure recording this album gave Bocelli...it is palpable. Though I initially didn't care for Bocelli's sound, the more I listen, the more I enjoy it.
The orchestra is lush and beautiful, with a fine assortment of excellent musicians, like Celso Valli on piano.Heavenly tracks are: Lucio Dalla's "Caruso", which is a glorious composition, performed to perfection. The delicacy of "Le Tue Parole", sung with melt-your-heart tenderness is a winner, as is another lovely number with a spoken intro, "Rapsodia".
Though most people are familiar with "Time to Say Goodbye", with Sarah Brightman (the first track, "Con Te Partiro", is the solo version of this song), the other duets are also wonderful: "Vivo per Lei" is one of my favorite tracks, and the petite pop star with the big voice, Giorgia, is fabulous in it; another young Italian singing star, Gerardina Trovato sings in "Vivere", and English rock singer John Miles is marvelous in a live recording of "Miserere", with his deep gravelly voice making a good contrast to Bocelli's.
The booklet insert has all the lyrics in both Italian and English, and total time is 66'03.
If you want to indulge in undiluted Italian heart and soul, this CD is a five course meal of anima e cuore...a delicacy to be relished !

Comment: this record just gives me chills listening to it... he has the most powerful voice ever! "con te partiro" is his classic track, a song that will forever be remembered by his fans... this music is just plain great and you get to hear some italian singing for a change... :) great altogether!

Summary: Musaq with Italian words
Comment: I purchased this CD because of some of the reviews I had read about "people having heard this at a dinner party" or because "a friend gave it as a birthday present". Reviewers went on to say that it was a must have - but I must tell you the music is very simple (like the melody was done on a play-at-home keyboard). Reminded me of elevator music sung in Italian. Bocelli has such a beautiful voice and it is wasted because of the underlying music.Now, let me just say, I'm not reviewing this from an Opera perspective. The first selection "Con Te Partiro" with Sarah Brightman is beautiful, but from tehn on it is pretty bad. The only thing I can imagine was that folks were impressed enough with hearing a song in another language to purchase this CD. I don't know if Amazon will post this review (since they want to sell as many CDs as possible) but there are certainly other CDs like "Time to Say Goodbye" by Sarah Brightman which I would select over this one. She has a much greater range and the accompanying music is beautiful. Save your money on this one.
Amazon place this on the first page so there is some balance to the reviews! Otherwise people only see the "good" review and don't get a well rounded review - BE FAIR! You'll have happier (and more repeat) customers.

Summary: Incredibly romantic...
Comment: This has got to be the most romantic CD of all time!! Number 7 is the perfect slow dance song! Even though I don't speak or understand Italian, you don't need to know what's being said to "feel" the music. For those of you who DO need lyrics, they are included with the CD.
