Customer Rating: Summary: Just a Swinging! Comment: I bought this for really cheap and I cant wait until spring when I can use it! I didnt think that I wanted a rope hammock, but the price was right and now that I have it I love it and cant wait to use it outside!
Customer Rating: Summary: Give it time Comment: It is funny to read these review of people complaining of the hammock sagging. Of course being a cotton hammock, there is some stretch to work out of it. The first time I sat on it, I was on the ground rather quickly. However, unlike the other negative reviews, I simply retied the knots to make it tight again. Magically, the hammock stayed up, some people need to learn patience! I spent most of my summer taking a nap, and reading books on it. I recommend it to everyone.
Customer Rating: Summary: I love mine!!! Comment: It does stretch a little, but I weigh 190lbs, and set at the tightest links, it is heaven on earth. The stand was super simple to assemble (no screws!) and with a pillow, stress just melts away!
Customer Rating: Summary: Don't listen to those nitwits... Comment: I almost decided not to buy this hammock based on the not-great reviews. A saggy hammock? Sure; it's cotton. And yes, when I first put it on the stand and lay down on it, my butt did touch the bar. But this is why there is a word called "adjustable." Simple solution: shorten the chains connecting it to the stand. Sure, you wouldn't have to muck with that with a synthetic fabric, but you also wouldn't have the wonderful smell of minimally-processed cotton. The only possible downside is that it will easily mold if left outdoors in the rain, but since I don't want to be laying out on a hammock in the rain anyway, it's not a big deal.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not the best - Only buy it if it is free! Comment: I ordered the stand and recieved this hammock for free with it. I am glad it was free as it is cheaply made. The tag on it reads made in India and it looked it. This hammock sinks to the ground when I sit on it. I am a big guy but not close to the 400 pound weight limit I read when I bought it. This thing is only good for free. I am sure it will not last long.
