Customer Rating: Summary: Wish there was a third Beethoven's Wig! Comment: I bought this CD about a year ago. My six year old daughter and I loved it, so I purchased Beethoven's Wig 2. Now my mom is hooked on them also and plays them to her fourth graders who also love the songs. I love classical music, but it is so much more fun to listen to songs when you can have words in your head that go to the music. Now I like to listen to just the instrumental (without the singing) because I know the words and I can listen to the instruments. I just can't say enough about these CDs. I really wish Richard Perlmutter would make more.
Customer Rating: Summary: A whole lot of fun... Comment: My 5-year old niece and I enjoy this CD together, making up dance steps and giggling a lot. I know that, along with the laughter, she is developing the appreciation for classical music that it took me 30 years to realize. I wish i'd had the same exposure all those years ago!
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent resource for Homeschool or classroom learning Comment: After borrowing Beethoven's Wig 2 from our local library, I was interested in getting this for use in teaching a 2nd/3rd grade music class on composers. I have found it to be very popular with the Cannonball song and Drip, Drip Sylvia being the most requested from this album. Even my own older children get a kick out of it. I highly recommend this cd!
Customer Rating: Summary: A Great Kid's CD Comment: This has fun lyrics to some great classical music. I highly recommend this for any parent of young children, or this is a great baby gift. My 16-month old loves to clap along. My only complaint is that I now can't listen to Beethoven without the words running through my head: "Beethoven's wig... is very big..."
Customer Rating: Summary: kids can't get enough! Comment: I bought this solely based on reviews of other people, and because we needed some new & different music in our collection...having no idea whether my 3 boys would have any interest. I am very pleasantly surprised...they ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! They ask to listen to it every time we get into the car...we listen to it over and over, more than we have ever listened to any other cd (and we have a fairly large kids' collection). They have all the words memorized (they love them becasue they're silly) and love to sing along. And now they're always asking me questions about Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, etc....they're learning about classical music without even meaning to! (pretty sneaky) We can't wait to get Beethoven's Wig 2!!
