Summary: Fun, fun, fun!
Comment: I just love these CDs by Sandra Boynton. These are loaded with fun songs you can sing along with. It did take me a few times listening to really get hooked, but now I listen to them even when my kids aren't around.

Summary: A great CD for just about anyone
Comment: At first I thought the music was really weird when my wife first put it into the CD player; however, it has really grown on me over the week that I have been listening to the music. My 8 month old really loves it too. We all love the song "Cows," "Snuggle Puppy," and "Snoozers." I recommend that this is CD is a must buy for all ages.

Summary: Please get these tunes out of my head!!
Comment: The tunes are so catchy, and the lyrics so funny and memorable, that I sometimes find myself lying awake at night unable to get them out of my head. If you're on the fence, do yourself (and your kids) a favor and pull the trigger. It's great stuff.

Summary: From 15 months - 45 years old - LOVVVED it!!
Comment: To say babies can't dance to it (read the negative review) is SOOOO wrong. How can you NOT dance to SWING?!! That's what its for!
My twin babies (15 months) and I CRACKED up all through this CD. We were in the car so we didn't have our whole bodies dancing (the whole time), but I know the other drivers thought we were NUTS! We bounced, waved, clapped and sang throughout this entire CD!
How very clever and smart it is -- lyrics are intelligent humour and the music (also clever) finds its roots in broadway, swing & blues. How can you not like a singing chorus line of cows and aardvarks?!
I look forward to more...
By the way, the cast list is exceptional - Kevin Kline, Meryl Streep, Patti LuPone, Eric Stoltz..........to name a few......

Summary: Music for kids that adults can not only tolerate but love!
Comment: I was amazed to read a negative review of this CD! I've bought it for my two oldest grandkids (four and five), and they loved it. Actually, I got it when they were both around two; they loved it then and love it now. The five year old had sort of forgotten about it, because their CD got damaged (probably from overuse), but she rediscovered it at my house when she was here for a visit. Once that happened, she asked for it each time we got into the car. The first time one of my sons in law heard it (a very disciminating music critic), he said, "Hey, what IS that? I love that music!" So I would urge buying it for a great way to entertain kids in the car or out! It's great music with funny and clever lyrics, kids' music that won't drive you nuts the way the "music" of Raffi and others will do!

The Bacon Brothers say it best on this hilarious CD's title track: "Poultry in motion is a beautiful thing." So is a record that grabs you by the funnybone from its opening (the Seldom Herd's "Cows") and doesn't let go till the final note is clucked. Sandra Boynton, whose illustrated board books have become as much a part of every toddler's reading list as Mother Goose, makes a convincing case here that authors can succeed brilliantly as very silly songwriters. Meryl Streep, Laura Linney, Kevin Kline, Natasha Richardson, and fourteen other performers all qualify as contenders for king and queen of the coop, and they whoop it up enough to guarantee the most enjoyable sing-along ever. --Tammy La Gorce
