Summary: Creative Muvo TX FM 1 GB MP3 Player : Good Stuff
Comment: Read all the reviews on MP3 here, it was good training, and bought Creative I GB MuVo. Delighted, I did buy good stuff. Briefly,

* Product: Compact, great finish, looks good, high end product.
* Software Bundle Included: We all use Windows, the player appears as re-movable drive, made folders on Muvo, dragged all files,
* Function and Control: Scroll Jogger is fabulous like BlackBerry. Friendly, fast, needs no effort to get used to, Folders, shuffle, jogging thru, changing options: Like a sprint.
* Radio: receives well, good options of scanning, saving, pre sets.
* Voice recording; Not yet done, but is a bonus, as long as I can make out what I said, I will be happy.
* Music : Good, Volume on 1 to 25 scale, at level 20, one can rock,
* Equalizers': Simple and easy, pre sets are fine, customization is possible, did not need the latter.
* Headphone : Delicate, so are all MP3, sounds well,
* Battery : Got the set with Duracell, Thanks Creative,
* Carrying Case and Armband : very good, cover and armband are of good quality and looks, belt clip can be used for clipping on top shirt pocket, I used a small thin twine to keep it around the neck, do not want to drop the player,
* Used in car cassette player with adopter, Fine.
* Over All : Creative Muvo 1 GB at 75$, with FM, Radio, Voice recording, a good armband, good features, Scroll/ Jogger, good finish,

Very Happy to have bought this.

Summary: Exactly what I wanted
Comment: I previously owned a Compaq PA-2 MP3 player, which while durable and easy to use, had been outdated in recent years. After some research, I took a shot at the Creative MuVo TX FM 1GB player. I am not disappointed.

It's remarkably easy to use. So much so, that the enclosed software, to me, isn't even necessary (although, in all fairness, I do not use subscription services. Maybe it's necessary for that). The drag-and-drop feature for this device is thus far, flawless. The sound is great, and the extra features such as the equalizer, FM tuner (which works much better than you might think), and the voice recorder make this well worth the price. I have no regrets whatsoever about this purchase.

Comment: I own a 60GB iPod and like it a lot but was looking for something smaller. I first bought an iPod shuffle but after a couple of days I took it back and got this MuVo from Creative instead. While I'm a fan of the iPod line, in this case I really missed having a screen--even a tiny screen--to see what was playing and to be able to change EQ, navigate easier and so on. This little Creative player handles it all very nicely and the sound is good, too. What I really love is that I can just plug it into a USB port and treat it like a jump drive--dragging and dropping files. It's so easy. I can mix music files with other files and the player doesn't care. I also really like the battery. One of the things that makes me nervous about the iPods is the fact that I can't change the battery myself. It may seem a small thing, but I don't like the idea of having to ship it off to Apple just to get the battery replaced. Since I travel a lot, I'm always carrying extra AAAs and AAs for other electrical devices so it's no big deal to have one to put in this Creative player.

So I love the iPod but Creative has done a really nice job on this little player. You get a lot more for the same price than you do with the Shuffle.

Summary: I really like this
Comment: I have had this player for over a year. It does everything that it should. To all the reviewers that say it only plays music in alphabetical order, that is false. It has several different play modes (standard, shuffle folder, repeat folder, repeat all, shuffle all...etc..). Recently I downloaded a firmware upgrade and the functionality has improved.

I find that the quality of the music that I play is good although I am not an audiofile. If there is a drawback, at all, to this player it is that there is a brief high pitched buzz when it is turned on or whenever the backlight comes on. I just turned off the backlight feature and haven't really cared since.

I find the menus to be easy to use. Push the FF/REW button down and obvious (in the sense you should know what they mean) icons are displayed showing what your options are.

The radio is nice, but I find that I rarely use it. I also have not tried the microphone except for 1 or 2 times, but just for fun.

As a student I find that having a thumb drive that is recognized in any Windows computer is awesome. I can't say that enough. It works in any PC and times when I had to bring files to Kinkos, it has worked on whatever their backroom computer was.

There are a number of reviews that say how this thing shuts down etc. Well there are a few things that I have found out. IF you use a AAA battery that is 1.2v instead of 1.5v (as I discovered not all AAA batteries are the same voltage) the MUVO does not get the power it needs from the 1.2v {especially rechargable Rayovacs} batteries and will not get the life that it should if it turns on at all. The other thing that can happen, if you plug it in and out of computers willy-nilly is that you can mess up the flash drive formatting. Then it will not play music. If that happens all you have to do is run the Creative formatting utility and that fixes it.

I also like that this player came with an arm-band and a belt clip. That was an unexpected bonus.

Summary: amazing mp3 player
Comment: I didn't expect much from this mp3 player, I thought it would just be something to use before I could afford something else but it is amazing.
It has a microphone!
you can record almost anything! it's a little scratchy on super low things but so what. I love this thing!
you don't need a usb cable because the little section around the screen just comes out. It's got a little plugin so you can plug it in to your computer.
it's amazing
you can record fm radio and it is super light
it's great
it takes just one AAA battery and the batteries don't drain excessively.
I have one duracell battery in it and it has so far lasted three days and I've been listening to my mp3 player pretty much nonstop.
you can record yourself singing, or talking.
I recorded a drum circle the other day and loaded it on to my computer, I can put it on a cd or do whatever I want with it now.

you should buy it and see what I'm talking about it really is this great.
